Elizabeth S. Rachel, MD
Dr. Rachel joined Surgical Care Associates in July 1999 to begin her vascular surgery practice. She is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Rachel completed her vascular and endovascular training at St. Louis University in June 1999. She is board certified in General and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Rachel’s surgical interests include surgery for the prevention and treatment of stroke, procedures for the treatment of peripheral artery occlusive disease and aneurysms, abdominal aortic aneurysms, venous disease and endovascular procedures including angioplasty and stent-grafts for the treatment of occlusive disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair.
Dr. Rachel participates with many of the major insurance carriers including Medicare. Her practice is primarily at Baptist Health Louisville where she is a co-director of the Noninvasive Vascular Lab.
